The Department of English is proud to host this year’s Christmas Charity Event in support of Srdíčkové dny, a well-known charity organization dedicated to helping children in need. We warmly invite you to join us, enjoy the festive program, and make a difference by purchasing products and homemade cakes.

V úterý se konalo školní kolo soutěže Debatiáda. Naši studenti tercií a kvart soutěžili v debatování. V tezi se zamysleli nad tím, jak by změnili osmiletá gymnázia. Ve velice vyrovnaném klání se nakonec týmy umístily takto:

1.  Kvarta A ( Tereza  Rusínová, Veronika Mazálková KA)            

2. ČERNÁ a BÍLÁ ( Kristýna Jakubíčková, Sofie Marcinčáková KA)

3.  S @S (Sára Klimešová TA, Sofie Lesníková TB)

4. Veru @ Teri  ( Veronika Dobešová, Tereza Vyskočilová TB)

2 týmy nás budou reprezentovat v únoru v regionálním kole.

Je to tady! Na druhém debatním turnaji získaly naše studentky Veronika Drobná a Lucie Skalková (obě OkB) vytoužené a zasloužené bronzové debatní odznáčky za nasbírané body pro mluvčí debatních soutěží tzv. speaker points. Celý debatní tým ve složení Jan Dlabáček SpA, Veronika Drobná OkB, Radislav Hošek 4A a Lucie Skalková OkB na vánočně laděném turnaji získal 2 cenná vítězství. A o čem jsme debatovali?

1. All academic output should be freely available.

2 The rise of true crime media genre does more harm than good.

3. As Baby Jesus, we would give gifts to all children, regardless of whether they are considered naughty.

4. As an aspiring artist, we would choose to use an anonymous personality (eg. Marshmallo, Banksy,….)

Poetry Night at Místogalerie
Last Wednesday, our students gathered at Mistogalerie in Skleněná Louka for a wonderful Poetry Night. The evening was filled with poetry, songs, and amazing performances, making it an exceptional experience.

Thank you to all the students who participated and shared their talents. You made the event unforgettable, and we’re proud of everyone who took part.

We look forward to hosting this event again next year!

V sobotu 16.11. se na naší škole konal otevřený turnaj Debatiády. Ve čtvrtek před turnajem se náš debatní tým ve složení Kristýna Jakubíčková KA, Sofie Marcinčáková KA, Valentýna Pohořelská KA, Sofie Lesníková KB, Sára Klimešová TA, Veronika Dobešová TB, Tereza Vyskočilová TB a Lucie Skalková OkB-tentokrát v roli rozhodčí- vypravil na cvičnou debatu s debatéry  gymnázia ve Šlapanicích. A na sobotním turnaji naše 2 týmy obsadily 1. a  2. místo.

2.místo Sofie Lesníková (KB) a Sára Klimešová (TA)

Vítězným týmům gratulujeme a přejeme hodně štěstí při dalších debatách.

Poděkování patří také Lucii Skalkové (OkB) za rozhodování a cenné rady nové generaci debatérů a samozřejmě také vedení naší školy, že nám umožnilo prestižní  turnaj na naší škole uspořádat.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the veterans during the charity event held on the occasion of Remembrance Day. A wonderful total of 2,723 Czech crowns was collected. Special thanks go to classes Prima A and Prima B, who helped with the preparation and organization of the event. The collected amount will be donated to the Paměť národa organization.

Remembrance Day is a time to honor those who served to protect our freedoms and way of life. Let us pause together to reflect on their sacrifice and suffering.

At Bigy, you’ll also have the chance to participate in our charity event. The red poppy, the symbol of this day, represents both remembrance and hope for a peaceful future. By purchasing a poppy badge at the stands placed on each of the school floors, you can support those who contributed to our peaceful present and their families.

We're pleased to share that our Bake Sale at the Alice in Wonderland-themed Harvest Festival raised an impressive 5,453 Kč! The funds will be donated to DONIO to support people affected by recent floods.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported this special event by purchasing delicious treats, and to all those who made it possible by baking them. A special thank you goes to the organisers from KA JAZ1 for their incredible decorations that transformed our school into a real Wonderland. We also want to thank the girls from TB who helped with the decorations, SA JAZ1 also for decorations and TA JAZ1 for decorations and participating in Bake Sale. We're equally grateful to the students from SXB, QA, and KB for preparing the programme, including the fantastic dance and competitions.

Thank you all for making this event a memorable success and helping those in need!
